Inchicore Scores At Leicester 06/10/20

INCHICORE Scored at Leicester this afternoon in the Coors Handicap over 1m4f. She beat the 13/8 favorite Wise Glory by 1 1/4 lengths after travelling well through out the race in testing conditions under champion jockey Oisin Murphy. INCHICORE looks like a filly that can progress and will probably have one more run this season before perusing her 4yo career next season. She will also be a welcome addition to AppleTree's broodmare band being by the all conquering GALILEO and out of a LUAS LINE a G1 Winning mare at the end of her racing career.

Tomorrow’s Dream Earns Valuable Black Type with Newmarket 3rd 25/09/20

Tomorrow's Dream Earned valuable black type this afternoon at Newmarket for both her own breeding prospects and that of her Dam Midnight Thoughts when finishing third in the Tasleet British EBF Rosemary Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies & Mares) over 1m. Tomorrow's broke well and was able to travel nicely through the contest. She stuck to her task well showing bravery and improvement to hold third position at the line. She was beaten 3 1/2 lengths by CLOAK OF SPIRITS who has been placed at group level including when second to LOVE in the 1000 Guineas. Tomorrow's Dream has improved all year and we hope she can continue to improve, it remains to be seen weather we keep her in training next season but what ever we decide Tomorrow's Dream is a nice prospect.

Surprise Exhibit Adds More Black Type to Astonishing’s Page 21/08/20

Surprise Exhibit trained by Archie Watson ran a cracking race this afternoon at Salisbury to finish 3rd in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Stonehenge Stakes on only his third start under the brilliant Hollie Doyle. Beaten 3 3/4 lengths by Cobh 97 rated colt trained by Clive Cox, Surprise Exhibit bounced out the gates to make the running before being collared close home. He's sure to improve and looks on form to be capable of getting 10f which leave us lots of options. The result is also very special as it a second black type performer out of our mare Astonishing who is in foal to the exciting Too Darn Hot and also the dam of Group placed Gold Maze, Astonishing is looking a valuable acquisition for AppleTree.

2 Winners In A Week For Appletree’s Astonishing 14/08/20

Our very own mare Astonishing (Galileo x Amazing Krisken) is now 2 winners from 2 runners inside the space of a week after Gold Maze (Golden Horn x Astonishing) followed up from his younger half brothers Surprise Exhibits win on Wednesday. Gold Maze took the Big Picture Communications Maiden over 1m 2f at the Curragh in style winning a going away 4 1/2 lengths from Daylight come, he already has black type and an official rating of 103 but adding another winner to the page is a great result. We will continue to follow Gold Maze with pride being his breeder and with enthusiasm in the hope for some winning black type.

Another Home Bred Winner For AppleTree 12/08/20

Surprise Exhibit (Showcasing x Astonishing) became the 4th individual home bred winner from 5 runners for AppleTree today when our 2 yo colt won the British Stallion Studs EBF Whiston Maiden Stakes over 1M at Wolverhampton. The 5th horse and the only 1 not to win from the Quintet of runners is Surprise Exhibit's half brother Gold Maze, he is 103 rated maiden and runs at the Curragh on Friday. Surprise Exhibit made all to win by a comfortable 3 3/4 lengths from Envega, the race on paper looked interesting as there were some well bred individuals taking part in the form of King Frankel who is a full brother to 116 rated EMINENT and Summer Power a half brother to 112 rated MILDENBERGER. Archie has suggested an entry in the listed Stone Henge Stakes at Salisbury on Friday week providing he comes out of his race well

Gallardise Rounds Off A good Day For AppleTree At Lingfield 05/08/20

Gallardise rounded off a good day for AppleTree at Lingfield yesterday, she made light work of a field of 11 runners over a 1m in the Betway Novice Median Auction Stakes. Popping out of the gates Gallardise  made all to win by a comfortable 1 1/2 lengths reversing previous form with the Amy Murphy trained Emotional Moment. She is a full sister to AppleTree's Gallaside and like him is a fine big horse. The way Gallardise won would make us think there is plenty to come from her as she was still a little green in front and only really did what she had to see off her rivals under the brilliant Hollie Doyle. Earlier on on the Lingfield card Archie Watson and Hollie Doyle did AppleTree another favor winning the Betway Novice Stakes with Perfect Crown (Hallowed Crown x Perfect fun). He is a half brother to our mare Absolute Blast (kodiac x Perfect Fun), the 3yo colt already has place black type but the way he won by 7 lengths from a 90 rated rival Aroha giving her 10lb suggests more black type is imminent.

Tomorrow’s Dream Makes Goodwood Glorious For AppleTree 28/07/20

Tomorrow's Dream (Oasis Dream x Midnight Thoughts) put up a fine performance to win the British European Breeders Fund EBF Fillies' Handicap over 1m at Glorious Goodwood today. She beat a competitive field breaking well to sit behind the leaders, before picking up nicely to win by a cozy 1 1/2 lengths form Angel  Power. We will have to wait and see what the handicapper does but I'm hoping we will hunt for some black type now which will be great for Tomorrow's Dream as a broodmare prospect and also her dam Midnight Thoughts, enhancing her page. Midnight Thoughts is already 3 winners from 3 foals, she has a Shalaa 2yo filly who will be out in the autumn and a lovely Kingman filly foal on the ground. the future looks bright for the family.

Tomorrow’s Dream Gets AppleTree Off The Mark For 2020 02/07/20

Tomorrow's Dream (Oasis Dream x Midnight Thoughts17) was a welcome winner on Tuesday night at Chepstow in the Blackwood Engineering Handicap over 7f. She gets us off the mark for 2020 and looks like she will progress. She was not 100% happy on the undulations of Chepstow and Tom Marquand did a fantastic job of keeping her balanced before producing her to win nicely by a length from Clive Cox's gelding Top Secret.

Gallaside Ran With Credit At The Royal Meeting 20/06/20

Gallaside ran  well at Royal Ascot yesterday and is sure to improve. He finished 10th in the Golden Gate Handicap over 1m2f which doesn't sound that amazing but he travelled through the race with purpose and saw out the trip fine, he was only beaten 8 1/2 lengths in a very competitive race. Gallaside will come on for the run and we are looking forward to running him against the older horses as receiving weight for age allowance will be a big advantage when you take into account his size and strength. AppleTree will have a lot of fun with him before the season is out.

Gallaside A First Royal Runner For AppleTree 18/06/20

We are excited to say Gallaside (Lucayan x Gallaecia 17) will be a first runner for AppleTree at Royal Ascot in the 3yo only Golden Gates Handicap over 1m2f at 1.15 this afternoon. He has been a fun horse for us winning 3 races last year and being placed twice. It is going to be a tough task as you would expect but we are confident of a good run, work reports have been great from Archie. He is running over the same trip 1m2f as his only disappointing run last season at Nottingham. After discussions with Archie we are sure the run at Notts can be put down to the end of a long year with it being his 6th run of his 2yo season. The ground was also slow at Notts as it is likely to be this afternoon but we are confident he will handle it after growing in to his frame, Gallaside is a fine big horse now. Win, loose or draw we will learn something and it is fantastic to have a runner at the most prestigious event of the summer. Hollie Doyle takes the ride again, we dare to dream.
