Joss’s Jewels 6th July Result – Winning NAP this week and NB remains one to watch.
WINNER
NAP – ENBIHAAR 2:40 HAYDOCK (11/4 advised) 5/2
Enbihaar put up a strong staying performance to hold off old rival Dramatic queen in the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock this afternoon. Settled into second by Dane O’neill tracking Dramatic Queen, Enbihaar took up the running at the 2f pole to gamely hold off a rallying Dramatic Queen at the line to win by a neck. Very few others got into the race with favourite Klassique briefly threatening into the straight until eventually her run petered out to finish 3rd.
Advised at 11/4 she went off an eventual 5/2 second favourite, and is nice winning nap to start the weekend.
8th
NB (Next Best) – Salute The Soldier 2:25 Sandown (14\1 advised) 16/1
Salute The Soldier ran a solid enough race in the 2:25 at Sandown this afternoon and finished 8th. He settled well into 4th on the rail in the early stages by Adam Kirby and was travelling well enough turning for home. When the button was pressed there was no immediate response and as he eventually did begin to pick up, racing room became in issue once the pack began to close on the leaders. He may have finished closer with a clearer run of things although its hard to say he would of troubled the very impressive winner Mojito of William Haggas’s, who proved to be a handicap blot after a long lay off. It was very good training performance to say the least.
Salute the Solider does remain one to keep on side though, as I still think we are yet to see the best of him.
