Unfortunately Lola Paige did not run to expectations this evening, finishing a disappointing 5th in the Longines Irish Champions Weekend EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Haydock. Paul Hanagan placed her in a good position through the early stages and travelled well turning in although when push came to shove she had no answers for the Golden Horn newcomer of Mark Johnston’s. We are sure she is better than this performance, we will have her checked out and hopefully we can find a reason for the below par run.
