Tattersalls Sales Exceed Expectations 16/10/26

The October yearling sale at Tattersalls Newmarket exceeded expectations this year. AppleTree offered 3 lots with 2 in Book 2 and 1 in Book 2.

First offering was lot 535 Sea The Stars colt out of Heavenly Breath which realized 400,000gns, he was an interesting colt and as stated was somewhat a slow burner. He looked a late 2yo type with speed which is quite unusual for horses by the sire. However once the punters got there head around him, he became quite popular. Our colt was knocked down to Anthony Stroud and John Gosden. The Colt looks in safe hands for the future and gives Heavenly a real chance of blossoming in to a fine broodmare.

Lot 558 Pinatubo x Inchicore was next up shortly after, this fine big colt was always popular and again knocked down to Anthony Stroud on behalf of Godolphin for 320,000gns. Which is an exciting result and again gives Inchicore an exceptional start to her career and adds real potential.

Sea The Stars x Heavenly Breath colt realised 400,000gns at Tattersalls Book 2 2026

AppleTrees last offering was a Mostahdaf x Sleepless colt lot 1452 in Book3. The colt made 37,000gns when knocked down to Tom Biggs (agent) representing Ed Bethel. I did feel that the colt was good value as I had hope he might push to 50,000gns. Having said that he has gone to a good home and a good trainer.
